Project list of National Social Science Fund Project and youth projects was officially announced On September 27, 2020. Lu Chengwen, Li Chuanyin and Wang Shuting, three teachers of the Faculty of Humanities , acquire the support of National Social Science Fund, and Gao Tianjun teacher won the National Social Science Fund Youth project funding. Previously, both the teacher Li Junyun won the Ministry of Education 2020 annual Humanities and Social Sciences planning project funding . Five teachers received a total of 900,000 yuan in funding.

In addition, the 12th Hubei Provincial Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award was freshly released. Professor Huang Renxuan’s workDatang Zhongjing Sound and Meaning Collaboration Noteswon the first prize in the book category. Professor Huang Renxuan spent more than ten years and wrote more than 1.1 million Chinese characters. The work is the first work of Zhonghua Book Company's "Sound and Meaning Literature Series" and has been awarded the annual "Double Ten" books by Zhonghua Book Company and the 100 best books of the National Ancient Books Publishing House. It received a good social response. Professor Cheng Bangxiong’s "Study on Sun Yirang's Philology" won the second prize in the book category. This work helps to correctly understand Sun Yirang and his academic performance, helps the construct of modern philology research methods and theory, and helps the establishment of Chinese philology and modern Chinese academic history.
